12 of Top 100 books highlighted by BBC are translations

The BBC once came up with a list with the Top 100 Classic Books of all time, which became a little controversial, since the media giant believes that the average reader has only really read 6 of them. We then decided to check and see how many of these classics were actually books in translation―surprise, surprise: half of them were originally written in French, 3 in Russian, and 3 in Spanish.

Here are the classic novels in translation highlighted by the BBC:
