26% In Translation: Finalists For The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award

The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award has just announced its 2014 finalists. Libraries all over the world have nominated a total of 152 titles for the €100,000 prize. The shortlist will be out on April 9th and the winner will be announced on June 12th.

Nomination include 51 American books, 23 British, 11 Canadian, and 3 Irish, as well as 40 novels translated into English. The foreign languages being highlighted include German (7 titles), Spanish (6), Italian (6), Dutch (4), French (3), and Portuguese (2).
