we have achieved a 50% rate of books in translation!
The translated works come from originals in French, Japanese, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Dutch, and they are competing on the same level with titles originally written in English.

Nominations for the IMPAC Dublin come from readers and libraries, being open to any title published in English, without distinction between works originally written in the language and translations from a foreign language. It has a large cash prize of 100,000 €, which in the case of literary translations is split 75% to the author and 25% to the translator.
