You may have read about it before here, most recently in connection with the book launch, but I've been donating my time to an effort aimed at promoting Brazilian authors abroad. The project is known as Contemporary Brazilian Short Stories (CBSS) and I help translate short stories from Portuguese into English.
To my surprise, CBSS caught the eye of a small group of translators who work into Spanish and, for the past few months, we've been working together on Cuentos brasileños de la actualidad (CBA for short). The site went live January 1st, 2013 with the Spanish version of the very first story we published on CBSS back in June 2011.
CBA will be reproducing the same publishing schedule followed by CBSS and we also intend to publish a short story collection every year in book format. So, if you know anyone from Brazil who would be interested in contributing as an author, or a translator working with Portuguese as their source language and English/Spanish as their target language, don't hesitate to email Contact@BrazilianShortStories.com.
